Sealord King Reef Barramundi awarded Silver Medal
Leading seafood company Sealord have been awarded the Silver medal for excellence for their Barramundi at the prestigious Sydney fine food show.
The silver medal reinforces the quality and taste of King Reef Barramundi, fresh from tropical Queensland and reflects the dedication and hard work the team have spent to deliver this Aussie favourite.
“We are very proud to receive this award at such an influential event” comments Scott Hayward, Farm manager for King Reef Barramundi. “The Sealord team in Queensland love what they do and they have been delivering a great quality product to the Australian marketplace for over a decade. This national award recognises all that hard work and continues to place us as one of the Australia’s top Barramundi suppliers” continues Scott.
Due to the indigenous origins of the name, most Australians are unaware that over 70% of the Barramundi sold in Australia and on restaurant menu’s is imported.
“We believe that with Barramundi it’s fresher and better when it’s from here, and it’s nice to see that this translates to quality in our product and the silver medal that we have been awarded” adds Scott.
Consumers can experience the quality and taste of King Reef Barramundi at leading restaurants around Australia, including Peter Kuruvita’s Noosa Beach House.
Fresh and sustainable Sealord King Reef Barramundi is available for purchase and stocked through leading seafood wholesales, fish shops and from Woolworths fresh fish counters nationally.
