As fishers, processors and marketers the people at Sealord take our responsibility to protect our environment very seriously.

We carefully monitor the health of the fisheries from where we source our seafood and we keep abreast of best practice in sustainable fisheries management. We make sure that all of our seafood comes from sustainable sources caught by sustainable harvesting practices.

New Zealand is fortunate to have a world recognised Quota Management System (QMS) that means the amount of fish that can be caught is adjusted each year to ensure fish stocks remain at sustainable levels.

Our objective is to reduce our impact on the environment by actively pursuing sustainable and environmentally friendly ways of carrying out a successful business.
